Is Capture Kit free?
Yes. Core screenshots (visible, full page, region, element), preview annotations, copy/save, and Low/Medium video recording stay free forever. No account is required to install or use Free.
What do I get with Pro?
Pro unlocks CaptureKit Studio (backgrounds, canvas size, camera layers), High/Max video quality, GIF export, scheduled/watchdog capture, custom filename templates, custom annotation templates, and a higher history limit (up to 100). See the comparison table and the full Studio feature guide.
How much does Pro cost?
$5 per month, billed through Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record for taxes and invoices).
How do I upgrade and activate Pro?
- Buy Pro via checkout or from the extension under Settings → Pro.
- Copy the license key from your confirmation email or Lemon Squeezy order.
- Open Capture Kit → Settings → Pro → paste the key → Activate.
Is CaptureKit Studio free?
No. CaptureKit Studio is Pro only. Free users keep the screenshot preview (annotate, copy, save). Videos on Free save to Downloads; Pro can open them in Studio. Full feature list: CaptureKit Studio.
Are my screenshots and recordings uploaded?
No. Captures are processed on your device and saved locally (Downloads, history, Studio). For Pro, the extension only contacts Lemon Squeezy to activate or validate your license key — never page content or media. Details in the privacy policy.
Can I use Pro on more than one computer?
Each activation is tied to a browser/device instance via Lemon Squeezy’s license API. You can deactivate a device under Settings → Pro → Deactivate on this device, then activate the same key on another machine (within your plan’s activation limit).
How do I cancel or update my subscription?
Manage billing in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (linked from Settings → Pro → Manage subscription), or from the email receipt for your order. After cancel, Pro unlocks stop when the current paid period ends and the license is no longer valid.
I paid but Studio still says Pro only
Make sure you activated the license key in the extension (Settings → Pro), not only completed checkout. Use Refresh status after renewing. If the key was for a different product, it won’t unlock Capture Kit.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy under their buyer protection and store policy. Contact support from your order receipt or Lemon Squeezy account if you need help with a charge.
